ESSENTIAL EDDIE: Watches

Flud Watches. Can ya dig it?

A solid watch is an awesome closet staple. Not only are they functional (displaying time), they also contribute to personal style. Sure your attached-at-the-hip-Iphone tells time, too, but in professional settings, on dates, etc. who wants to whip out that phone? It can be a distracting turn-off.

Thus, I give you...WATCHES. So much swag it hurts.

LOOKBOOK : Vol. 1

Our very first lookbook--am I allowed to squeal in excitement like a school girl? Many thanks, hugs and pound-its to our models and friends Carmen & Alan.

  “It seemed funny
that the sunset she saw from her patio
and the one I saw from the back steps
was the same one.

Maybe the two worlds we lived in
 weren’t so different.
We saw the same sunset.”   - S.E. Hinton, The Outsiders

ESSENTIAL EDDIE : Jojoba Oil

Essential Eddie is a weekly series droolin' over products that are simultaneously useful and durable. In the vast sea of consumerism, here's to an attempt to filter to quality products.  This series is dedicated to the idea of investing in items out of necessity and for their a long lifetime--meaning you're going to get a good amount of use out of it over time. I'm talking multidimensional products, baby! Oh yeah. First up to bat:

JOJOBA OIL

  • Ladies | makeup remover -- With makeup, it's a beast; picking up everything in it's path with  one swipe. Waterproof mascara is no contender either.
  • Gents | shaving and aftershave -- Under shaving cream, it reduces razor burn
  • Unisex | skin and lip moisturizer, hair & scalp treatment

I love this stuff! Around $10/bottle, jojoba oil is closely similar to that of human skin oil, which allows it to be an efficient moisturizer. While it is agreeable with most, I highly recommend doing personal research if it works for your skin type.

Get 'em: Desert Essence (found at Trader Joe's / The Vitamin Shoppe) / Now (found at GNC) / drugstore.com / etc.
